Mandapeta, Andhra Pradesh: For many children in rural communities, access to education can be life-changing. Recognizing this, Smiley Children Society has been working consistently to ensure that children from economically weaker families receive the educational opportunities they deserve. Since its establishment on January 19, 2019, the organization has remained dedicated to promoting education, child welfare, and community development across Andhra Pradesh.
Founded by Prudhvi Moses, Smiley Children Society has established its headquarters in Mandapeta, with branch offices in Angara (East Godavari District) and Pothavaram (West Godavari District). Through the support of volunteers and community members, the organization has implemented several initiatives designed to improve educational access and encourage lifelong learning among children.
A major focus of the society’s work is helping children gain admission to government schools. Volunteers identify children who are not enrolled, interact with their parents, assist with admission procedures, and coordinate with school authorities to ensure a smooth enrollment process. By reducing practical barriers, the organization helps more children begin their educational journey.
The initiative has received appreciation from Headmaster Swamy Narayan, who acknowledged the dedication of Smiley Children Society’s volunteers and praised Founder Prudhvi Moses for his efforts to strengthen educational participation in local communities.
“Education is the greatest investment we can make in a child’s future. Our volunteers believe that every child deserves encouragement, guidance, and an opportunity to study without obstacles. Together, we are working to build stronger communities through education,” said Prudhvi Moses.
To ensure students continue receiving academic support after school admission, Smiley Children Society conducts free evening tuition classes at its Angara centre. The classes help students strengthen their understanding of core subjects, complete homework, and prepare confidently for examinations.
The organization also provides free dinner after each tuition session, reflecting its commitment to supporting children’s overall well-being. By combining education with nutritional support, Smiley Children Society helps create an environment where students can concentrate on learning while easing financial challenges faced by their families.
In addition to these initiatives, the organization continues to advocate for innovation in early childhood education. Speaking at educational events, including programs at ZPHS Angara, Prudhvi Moses has emphasized the importance of activity-based learning, storytelling, creative classroom exercises, educational games, and visual teaching aids in Anganwadi centres. He believes these methods encourage curiosity, creativity, and greater participation among young learners.
Smiley Children Society also contributes to educational institutions by donating classroom equipment, teaching materials, and learning resources that help schools create engaging and child-friendly learning environments.
As it moves forward, the organization plans to expand its educational outreach, strengthen partnerships with schools and local communities, and encourage more individuals to participate in volunteer service. Through its continued dedication to education, nutrition, and social responsibility, Smiley Children Society remains committed to empowering children and helping shape a more educated and inclusive future for Andhra Pradesh.
